What is Cheek Augmentation?
Over time the face loses fat, causing the cheeks to become flat and saggy, a sunken-in look. This affects the overall appearance of the face. Try lifting your cheeks with your fingers to see the difference it makes to your face.
The cheeks can be augmented (lifted) using various techniques including silicone implants, or by fat grafting. However these procedures are done under General Anesthetic and can be expensive.
At Symphony we can perform this using dermal filler in our clinic under local anesthetic.
You can return home the same time and may wish to even go back to work after the procedure.
How is this done?
A local anesthetic is used to numb the skin before an anesthetic injection.
There will be slight discomfort when the anesthetic is injected. Once this is done , our doctors use a special atraumatic cannula to fill the cheeks . Due to the cannula, the doctor only needs to make 2 tiny holes with a needle to fill the cheeks . The cannula significantly reduces the chance of bruising and make the procedure easier.
